Viglain is located about 29 kilometers east-southeast of Orléans in the Sologne . Viglain is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Guilly in the north, Sully-sur-Loire in the east, Villemurlin in the south and south-east, Isdes in the south and south-west, Vannes-sur-Cosson in the west and south-west and Neuvy-en-Sullias in the west and north-west.
