Neuville-aux-Bois is a French commune with 4,714 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Loiret in the region Center-Val de Loire . It belongs to the Arrondissement Orléans , was the main town (chef-lieu) of the canton of Neuville-aux-Bois until its dissolution in 2015 , it has since belonged to the canton of Pithiviers and is also the seat of the community association La Forêt .

Neuville-aux-Bois is located 20 kilometers northeast of Orléans and 100 km south of Paris . The Forêt d'Orléans , an approximately 150,000 hectare forest area, spreads south of the municipality .
Neuville-aux-Bois includes the districts and hamlets of La Rive du Bois, Le Cas Rouge-Haihault, Les Bouchets, L'Hervilliers, Puiseaux, Roulin and Saint-Germain-le-Grand
