Ingré is a commune with 9087 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the Loiret in the region Center-Val de Loire . The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement Orléans and was the main town ( chef-lieu ) of the canton Ingré until its dissolution in 2015 and has since belonged to the canton Saint-Jean-de-la-Ruelle . The inhabitants are called Ingréens .
geography
Ingré is located in the Loire Valley north of the river. The place is surrounded by the neighboring communities Ormes in the north, Saran in the northeast, Saint-Jean-de-la-Ruelle in the east, La Chapelle-Saint-Mesmin in the south, Chaingy in the southwest and Bucy-Saint-Liphard in the west and northwest.
The municipality is divided into the districts of Bas-Champs, La Bigottière, le bourg, Coutes, Villeneuve, le Grand-Orme and Montabuzard.
In the municipality there is the motorway triangle of the Autoroute A 10 with the Autoroute A71 .

Community partnerships
A partnership with the Italian municipality of Castel Maggiore , Province of Bologna (Emilia-Romagna), has existed since 2011. Since September 2017, there has been a second town partnership, namely with Drensteinfurt (North Rhine-Westphalia, south of Münster in the Warendorf district).
