Aorta Ridge is a mountain ridge in the south of the East Antarctic Victoria Land . It separates the Miers Glacier from the Adams Glacier in the Denton Hills on the Scott Coast and extends eastward to Holiday Peak .
The name has been recognized by the New Zealand Geographic Board since 1994 . The name after the aorta is derived from the unofficial name The Heart (translated: "The Heart ") for Holiday Peak , which was used in the 1960s .
