Josnes is a French municipality with 887 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Loir-et-Cher in the region Center-Val de Loire ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Blois and is part of the canton of La Beauce (until 2015: canton of Marchenoir ).

Josnes is located about 27 kilometers east-southeast of Orléans on the edge of the Beauce . Josnes is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Lorges in the north and west, Cravant in the north and northeast, Villorceau in the east, Tavers in the east and southeast, Séris in the south and Concriers in the southwest.
