Maves is a French municipality with 661 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in Loir-et-Cher in the region Center-Val de Loire ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Blois and the canton of La Beauce (until 2015: canton of Mer ). The inhabitants are called Mavois .

geography

Maves is about 17 kilometers north of Blois . The Cissé delimits the municipality to the west. Maves is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Léonard-en-Beauce in the north, La Madeleine-Villefrouin in the northeast, La Chapelle-Saint-Martin-en-Plaine in the east, Mulsans in the south and southeast, Averdon in the south and southwest, Conan in the West and Boisseau in the northwest.
