Villefrancœur is a French commune in the department of Loir-et-Cher in the region Center-Val de Loire . The population is 424 people (as of January 1, 2017). Villefrancœur belongs to the Arrondissement of Blois and the canton of Onzain (until 2015: Canton Herbault ). The inhabitants are called Villefrancoeurois .

Villefrancœur is about 14 kilometers northwest of Blois . The Villefrancœur is surrounded by the neighboring communities Villemardy in the north and northwest, Champigny-en-Beauce in the north and northeast, La Chapelle-Vendômoise in the east and southeast, Landes-le-Gaulois in the south and Tourailles in the west.
