Monteaux is a French municipality with 768 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Loir-et-Cher in the region Center-Val de Loire . It belongs to the Arrondissement Blois , the canton Onzain (until 2015 the canton Herbault ) and the municipality association Agglomération de Blois . The inhabitants are called Montéhaubaldiens .
geography
Monteaux is about 21 kilometers west-southwest of Blois . The Cisse limits the community in the south. Monteaux is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Mesland in the north, Veuzain-sur-Loire in the south and east and Cangey in the west and southwest.
