Saint-Gervais-la-Forêt is located between Orléans and Tours on the Cosson , a tributary of the Loire . Saint-Gervais-la-Forêt is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Blois in the north, Vineuil in the east, Mont-près-Chambord and Cellettes in the south and Chailles in the west.
history
From the 8th century until the French Revolution , the place name was Saint-Gervais-des-Près , which was then briefly transformed into Gervais-sur-Cosson .
