Cour-Cheverny is a French commune with 2,845 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Loir-et-Cher in the region Center-Val de Loire ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Blois and is part of the canton of Vineuil . The inhabitants are called Courchois .

geography

Cour-Cheverny lies at the confluence of the Conon and Courpin rivers in the Sologne region . In the north, the Beuvron delimits the municipality. The Cour-Cheverny wine-growing region is known for its white wines made from the Romorantin grape variety. Cour-Cheverny is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Mont-près-Chambord in the north, Tour-en-Sologne in the northeast, Fontaines-en-Sologne in the east, Cheverny in the south and Cellettes in the west and northwest.
