Reorganization of the arrondissements in 2017
As a result of the reorganization of the arrondissements in 2017, the arrondissement Vendôme became the two municipalities Épiais and Rhodon as well as the area of the former municipality Sainte-Gemmes and the arrondissement Romorantin-Lanthenay became the three municipalities Courmemin , La Ferté-Saint-Cyr and Thoury of the arrondissement Assigned to Blois.
For this, the 17 communities of Angé , Chissay-en-Touraine , Contres , Faverolles-sur-Cher , Feings , Fougères-sur-Bièvre , Fresnes , Monthou-sur-Cher , Montrichard Val de Cher , Oisly , Ouchamps , changed from the Arrondissement of Blois . Pontlevoy , Saint-Georges-sur-Cher , Saint-Julien-de-Chédon , Sassay , Thenay and Vallières-les-Grandes to the Arrondissement Romorantin-Lanthenay and the two communes Moisy and Ouzouer-le-Doyen to the Arrondissement Vendôme .
Reorganization of the arrondissements in 2019
In 2019, the municipality of Courmemin moved back from the Arrondissement of Blois to the Arrondissement of Romorantin-Lanthenay .
