Mesland is a French municipality with 565 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Loir-et-Cher in the region Center-Val de Loire . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Blois and the municipality of Agglomération de Blois .

geography

The municipality is located about 22 kilometers southwest of Blois on the eastern edge of the historic Touraine province . The flowing waters in the municipality are oriented south to the Cisse , which here flows parallel to the Loire . The hilly area is characterized by an alternation of forests, arable land and grapevines. Neighboring municipalities are Santenay in the north, Veuzain-sur-Loire in the east, Monteaux in the south, Cangey in the west and Dame-Marie-les-Bois in the northwest.
