Les Montils is a French commune with 1,943 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Loir-et-Cher in the region Center-Val de Loire ; it belongs to the Arrondissement Blois and is part of the canton Blois-3 (until 2015: canton Contres ). The inhabitants are called Montilois .

geography

Les Montils is about ten kilometers south-southwest of Blois on the Beuvron in Sologne . Les Montils is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Chailles in the north, Seur in the east, Le Controis-en-Sologne with Ouchamps in the south and south-west, Monthou-sur-Bièvre in the south, Valaire in the south-west and Candé-sur-Beuvron in the west and north-west.
