Autainville is a French municipality with 444 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Loir-et-Cher in the region Center-Val de Loire ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Blois and is part of the canton of La Beauce (until 2015: canton of Marchenoir ).

Autainville is located about 38 kilometers north-northeast of Blois in the natural landscape of Beauce . The municipality is crossed by the river Baignon , which is still called Grand Fossé here . Autainville is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Beauce la Romaine in the north and west, Binas in the east and north-east, Saint-Laurent-des-Bois in the south-east, Marchenoir in the south and Saint-Léonard-en-Beauce in the south-west.
