Courbouzon is about 19 kilometers northeast of Blois on the edge of the Beauce . The municipality extends to the Loire . Courbouzon is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Avaray in the north and east, Nouan-sur-Loire in the southeast, Muldes-sur-Loire in the south, Suèvres in the southwest and Mer in the west.
