Valaire is about eight kilometers south of Blois in the Sologne countryside . Valaire is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Candé-sur-Beuvron in the north, Les Montils in the northeast, Monthou-sur-Bièvre in the south and east and Chaumont-sur-Loire in the west.
