Averdon is a French municipality with 697 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Loir-et-Cher in the region Center-Val de Loire . It belongs to the Arrondissement Blois , the canton Onzain (until 2015 the canton Herbault ) and the municipality association Agglomération de Blois . The inhabitants are called Averdonais .
geography
Averdon is about ten kilometers north-northwest of Blois on the Cisse . Averdon is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Champigny-en-Beauce in the north and northwest, Conan in the north, Maves in the northeast, Mulsans in the east, Villerbon in the southeast, Marolles and Fossé in the south, Saint-Bohaire in the southwest and La Chapelle-Vendômoise in the west .
