Fossé is a French commune in the department of Loir-et-Cher in the region Center-Val de Loire . The population is 1,308 (as of January 1, 2017). Fossé belongs to the Arrondissement of Blois and the Canton of Onzain (until 2015: Canton Blois-5 ). The inhabitants are called Fosséens .

geography

Fossé is about six kilometers northwest of Blois between Orléans and Tours . The Cisse limits the municipality to the north. Fossé is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Averdon in the north, Marolles in the north-east, Villebarou in the east, Saint-Sulpice-de-Pommeray in the south and south-west, Saint-Lubin-en-Vergonnois in the west and south-west, Saint-Bohaire in the west and north-west as well La Chapelle-Vendômoise in the north-west.

The A10 autoroute runs through the south of the municipality .
