Hans Werner Knobloch

Hans Werner Knobloch (born February 25, 1928 in Chemnitz ) is a German industrial clerk , actor , author of children's books and author or editor of radio plays .

Life

Hans Werner Knobloch (without the hyphen, since the middle name is the first name of his father) trained as an actor and director from 1943 to 1946 . From 1946 to 1952 he practiced these professions, or that of a dramaturge . He then trained as an industrial clerk from 1953 to 1956 with a view to taking over his father's company. From 1961 he was the owner of his father's company. He also worked as a freelance writer and wrote several children's books. His first was called The Gift of the Silk Princess and was published in 1964 by Franz Schneider Verlag , Munich. He later devoted himself to the children's radio play genre, inventing new stories, but also reworking his own books and drawing on literary models, such as some fairy tales by Wilhelm Hauff . In 1975 Knobloch , who lived temporarily in Munich and Tremosine in northern Italy, created a twelve-part radio play version of Bernhard Kellermann's best-known novel The Tunnel for Südwestfunk .
