The Baignon is a river in France that runs in the Loir-et-Cher department in the Center-Val de Loire region . It rises under the name Grand Fossé in the forest area Forêt de Marchenoir , in the municipality of Saint-Laurent-des-Bois , near the border with the neighboring municipality of Marchenoir , generally drains west-northwest through the natural landscape of Beauce and flows after around 27 kilometers in the municipality of Morée as left tributary into the Loir . In its lower reaches, seepage takes place underground over a length of about one kilometer.
