Former town hall (Mairie) of Oucques

Oucques is a village and a former French commune with 1,515 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Loir-et-Cher in the region Center-Val de Loire . It belonged to the arrondissement of Blois and was part of the canton of La Beauce (until 2015: canton of Marchenoir ).

With effect from January 1, 2017, Oucques merged with the former municipalities of Baigneaux , Beauvilliers and Sainte-Gemmes to form the Commune nouvelle Oucques la Nouvelle and since then has had the status of a Commune déléguée in the new municipality .

geography

Oucques is about 16 miles north of Blois . The Réveillon river has its source in the local area .

The municipality of Oucques was surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Vievy-le-Rayé in the north, Saint-Léonard-en-Beauce in the east, Villeneuve-Frouville and Boisseau in the south, Sainte-Gemmes in the southwest, Épiais in the west and Beauvilliers in the northwest.
