The inhabitants are called Auciliussois .

Oisly is located about 26 kilometers south-southeast of Blois in the Sologne countryside . Oisly is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Le Controis-en-Sologne with Contres in the north and northeast, Sassay in the east, Couddes in the south and Choussy in the west and southwest.
