Mur-de-Sologne is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Fontaines-en-Sologne in the north and north-west, Courmemin in the north and north-east, Veilleins in the east, Pruniers-en-Sologne in the south-east, Gy-en-Sologne in the south, Rougeou in the south-west as well Soings-en-Sologne to the west.

The former Route nationale 765 runs through the municipality .
