Pierrefitte-sur-Sauldre is about 50 kilometers north-north-west of Bourges on the Sauldre . The Canal de la Sauldre runs to the north . The Beuvron limits the community in the northwest. Pierrefitte-sur-Sauldre is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Chaon in the north, Brinon-sur-Sauldre in the east, Souesmes in the south, Salbris in the south-west, Nouan-le-Fuzelier in the west and Vouzon in the north-west.
