Millançay is located about 28 kilometers east-southeast of Blois and about 52 kilometers south-southwest of Orléans on the Bonne Heure in the Sologne countryside . Millançay is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Neung-sur-Beuvron in the north, Marcilly-en-Gault in the east, Loreux in the south-east, Villeherviers in the south, Romorantin-Lanthenay in the south and south-west, Veilleins in the west and Vernou-en-Sologne in the north-west.
