Yvoy-le-Marron is a French municipality with 728 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Loir-et-Cher in the region Center-Val de Loire ; it belongs to the arrondissement Romorantin-Lanthenay and is part of the canton of La Sologne (until 2015: canton of Lamotte-Beuvron ).

geography

Yvoy-le-Marron is located about 29 kilometers south-southwest of Orléans in the Sologne countryside . There are numerous lakes in the municipality. Yvoy-le-Marron is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Ligny-le-Ribault in the north and north-west, La Ferté-Saint-Aubin in the north-east, Chaumont-sur-Tharonne in the east, La Ferté-Beauharnais in the south, and La Marolle-en-Sologne in the southwest and Villeny in the west.
