Veilleins is located about 30 kilometers east-southeast of Blois and about 55 kilometers south-southwest of Orléans in the Sologne . Veilleins is surrounded by the neighboring communities Vernou-en-Sologne in the north, Millançay in the east, Romorantin-Lanthenay in the south and south-east, Pruniers-en-Sologne in the south, Mur-de-Sologne in the west and Courmemin in the north-west.
