Rougeou is located about 29 kilometers south-southeast of Blois and about 15 kilometers west of Romorantin-Lanthenay in the Sologne . Rougeou is surrounded by the neighboring communities Soings-en-Sologne in the north, Mur-de-Sologne in the north-east, Gy-en-Sologne in the east and south-east, Billy in the south and Chémery in the west.
