The Canton Selles-sur-Cher is a French constituency in Arrondissement Romorantin , in Loir-et-Cher and the region Center-Val de Loire ; its main town is Selles-sur-Cher . Jean-Paul Pinon ( MoDem ) was the representative in the General Council of the Département from 2008 to 2015 .

Until the nationwide reorganization of the French cantons in March 2015, the eight municipalities of Billy , Gièvres , Gy-en-Sologne , Lassay-sur-Croisne , Mur-de-Sologne , Rougeou and Selles-sur-Cher belonged to the canton of Selles-sur-Cher and Soings-en-Sologne . Its layout corresponded to an area of 236.79 km 2 . Before 2015 it had a different INSEE code than it does today, namely 4122.
