The District of Saint-Aignan is a French canton in the Arrondissement Romorantin in Loir-et-Cher in the region Center-Val de Loire ; its main town is Saint-Aignan . Philippe Sartori ( DVD ) has been a representative in the General Council of the Département since 2001, re-elected in 2008 . Until December 31, 2006, the canton belonged to the Arrondissement of Blois .

Until the nationwide reorganization of the French cantons in March 2015, the canton of Saint-Aignan included the 15 communities of Châteauvieux , Châtillon-sur-Cher , Chémery , Choussy , Couddes , Couffy , Mareuil-sur-Cher , Méhers , Meusnes , Noyers-sur-Cher , Pouillé , Saint-Aignan , Saint-Romain-sur-Cher , Seigy and Thésée . Its layout corresponded to an area of 326.02 km 2 . Before 2015 it had a different INSEE code than it does today, namely 4118.
