The Canton of Lamotte-Beuvron was 2015 a French canton in the Arrondissement Romorantin in Loir-et-Cher in the region Center-Val de Loire ; its main town was Lamotte-Beuvron . Patrice Martin-Lalande ( UMP ) was last representative in the General Council of the Département from 1979 to 2015, last re-elected in 2008 .

The canton was 387.73 km² and had (1999) 10,025 inhabitants, which corresponded to a population density of 26 inhabitants per km². On average it was 133 meters above sea ​​level , between 94 m in Yvoy-le-Marron and 152 m in Souvigny-en-Sologne .
