The Arrondissement Romorantin is an administrative unit of the French department of Loir-et-Cher in the region Center-Val de Loire . The administrative seat ( sub-prefecture ) is Romorantin-Lanthenay .

Reorganization of the arrondissements in 2017
As a result of the reorganization of the arrondissements in 2017, the three municipalities of Courmemin , La Ferté-Saint-Cyr and Thoury were assigned to the Arrondissement Blois from the Arrondissement Romorantin-Lanthenay .
Instead , the 17 municipalities of Angé , Chissay-en-Touraine , Contres , Faverolles-sur-Cher , Feings , Fougères-sur-Bièvre , Fresnes , Monthou-sur-Cher , Montrichard Val de Cher , Pontlevoy , Oisly , changed from the Arrondissement of Blois . Ouchamps , Saint-Georges-sur-Cher , Saint-Julien-de-Chédon , Sassay , Thenay and Vallières-les-Grandes to the Arrondissement Romorantin-Lanthenay.
Reorganization of the arrondissements in 2019
In 2019, the municipality of Courmemin moved back from the Arrondissement Blois to the Arrondissement Romorantin-Lanthenay.
