Saint-Loup is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Langon-sur-Cher in the north, Mennetou-sur-Cher in the northeast, Maray in the east and southeast, Anjouin in the south, La Chapelle-Montmartin in the west and southwest and Saint-Julien-sur-Cher in the West.
