Location of the association of municipalities in the Center-Val de Loire region

The Communauté de communes Val de Cher Controis is a French association of municipalities with the legal form of a Communauté de communes in the department of Loir-et-Cher in the region Center-Val de Loire . It was founded on December 19, 2016 and comprises 33 municipalities (as of January 1, 2019). The administrative center is in the municipality of Le Controis-en-Sologne .

Historical development

The community association was created with effect from January 1, 2017 through the merger of the predecessor organizations

• Communauté de communes du Cher à la Loire and
• Communauté de communes Val de Cher-Controis (before 2017) .

Despite the same name, it is a start-up with a different legal personality.

With effect from January 1, 2019, the former municipalities of Contres , Feings , Fougères-sur-Bièvre , Ouchamps and Thenay became part of the Commune nouvelle Le Controis-en-Sologne . This reduced the number of member communities to 33 and the Commune nouvelle took over the administrative headquarters.
