Johannes Spanner (born August 8, 1995 in Graz ) is an Austrian pop and folk music singer from Bad Waltersdorf . He became known in spring 2014 through the talent show Herz von Österreich .

biography

At the age of 14, Johannes Spanner came fourth in the Styrian Harmonica Competition 2009 , which was broadcast on public television. Five years later, he applied for the one-time Herz von Österreich singing competition on the private broadcaster Puls 4 . From the first qualifying show, he emerged victorious with his cover version of the Matthias Reim hit Damn I love you by winning the audience vote in six of the nine federal states. In the final he finished second with two federal states won. Across Austria, with 17.6% of the callers, he even achieved the best result of all eight candidates. The prize money was 150,000 euros.

With both the qualifying song and the final contribution, Vater du der Stadl brennt , he then made it into the Austrian single charts . The rest of the year he worked on completing his debut album entitled Schoarfe Sach , which was finally released in January 2015 and also hit the charts.
