Heart of Austria was a casting show in which only Austrian songs were allowed to be sung. It was produced by the Austrian television station Puls 4 and broadcast between January and March 2014.

After the qualification shows were broadcast, there was a phase in which the audience could vote. The federal states of the candidates and the voters were taken into account. Eight candidates took part in the final live show.

The jury consisted of Gerry Friedle , Stefanie Werger and Lukas Plöchl . Alexander Kahr and Birgit Denk worked as coaches . Johanna Setzer and Norbert Oberhauser moderated the programs. The shooting for the qualification shows took place in 2013 in the so-called “Heart of Austria Village” on the Turracher Höhe . The winner David Blabensteiner won an advertising campaign as well as participation in the “Best of Austria” tour by Rainhard Fendrich , the Seern and Wolfgang Ambros . With 94,000 viewers, the final did not meet the station's expectations.
