Müllerbeat was a German music group founded in Lauchhammer in 1987 .

Band history

The band was founded in 1987 in Lauchhammer, southern Brandenburg, by Michael Beier, Maik Müller, Tino Sieber, Bruno Stamm and Thomas Schöps. Initially, the bands covered titles by musicians such as Peter Maffay , 999 , Sex Pistols , The Police , The Smiths and Udo Lindenberg . Later I wrote my first own compositions.

After the first concerts in his hometown and the surrounding area, major appearances soon followed in Cottbus and Berlin . In 1988 they were voted the crowd favorite at the rock competition in Lugau .

After two demo tapes , the album Jig 'n' Jostle, recorded in Finsterwalde , was self-published in 1990 . Two years later the band recorded the album Don't Call Me Müller! published on Deutsche Schallplatten Berlin .

After the bassist Bruno Stamm was drafted into the army, musicians like Kai-Uwe Kohlschmidt took over his position at short notice. Other musicians such as Lutz Schulz, who was previously a member of the Cottbus band WK 13, later belonged to the formation. In 1993 the band broke up for good.
