Alexander Kahr
Alexander Kahr (born August 16, 1965 in Vienna ) is an Austrian music producer, disc jockey and composer .
Career
After completing his commercial apprenticeship, he worked in a large textile company. He was also a bassist and keyboardist in various hobby music groups. Kahr has been a producer and composer since 1990. As a professional music programmer, he worked with Christian Kolonovits , Johnny Bertl and Hartmut Pfannmüller , among others . He also worked for Ludwig Hirsch , STS , Gerhard Steinbäcker, Tony Wegas and Franz Morak .
He specialized in artist development. The motto is: by young people for the young or the young at heart. With the group Two in One he reached the Austrian Top 40 with seven titles. The biggest hits were Makeema and Indian Song . He then took the Whatever group under his wing. With them he could celebrate great airplay successes. He had several chart successes with Manuel Ortega and drove with him for Austria in 2002 to the Eurovision Song Contest in Tallinn . The song he composed, Say a word , took 18th place.
He achieved great success with the Starmania runner-up from 2003, Christina Stürmer . Until 2006 he produced and composed songs for her and produced three albums, including I live , Mama ana ahabak (written by him and Robert Pfluger), Angels fly lonely , Past , Bus through London , Does she love you like me . There was also an echo in 2006 for this.
Then in summer 2005 he was able to lead the previously unknown group Luttenberger * Klug with the title Super Sommer and several other titles in the charts. The same happened with Excuse Me Moses and their songs Summer Sun and Butterfly Tree . In addition, artists such as Mario Lang, Excuse me Moses, Die neue Österreicher and Dreieck were brought into the charts.
In 2010 James Cottriall won the competition The Voice in Austria and he produced the debut single Unbreakable with him, which immediately became an airplay and chart hit.
In 2011 he went on a routine path and produced the album Südwind with Stefanie Werger and a track with the group EAV . Both records received gold and platinum status.
In between, artists like Eva Maria Marold and Die wilden Kaiser joined them.
In 2013 Alexander Kahr produced the single Shine and an album with Natália Kelly .
In 2013 he also took over the musical direction of the Herz von Österreich casting format , from which the Tagträumer group emerged. With the first single, Sinn, they were able to position themselves in the charts for a whole year and received gold for it. The album Alles ok ?! (was also awarded gold) and the singles Daydreams and Bridges to the Moon also hit the charts.
Alexander Kahr's productions have been nominated 35 times for the Amadeus and several times for the Echo.
In 2016 he produced the hits of Elly V I'll be around and Flowrag Helden, among others .
So far he has placed 72 top 40 hits and over 25 albums in the Austrian charts. There are also several chart placements in Germany and Switzerland.
