Dreieck was a pop group from Austria .
history
Melanie Hirner and Vanessa Derndorfer went to school together, Jennifer Kandut met the two of them on Facebook and the three of them formed the group.
The group attracted the attention of Austrian producer Alexander Kahr (including Christina Stürmer , Mario Lang , Luttenberger * Klug ) and he decided to support the group and signed a record deal with Universal Music Austria.
The first single Dangerous was released on October 16, 2009 and entered the Austrian single charts at number 20 in the first week of the rating. In the course of the weeks it advanced to 11th place.
In the spring of 2010 the second single Wie es soll sein and the debut album Dreieck were released . Both reached middle chart positions.
In spring 2011 Vanessa Derndorfer left the band to concentrate on her school leaving certificate.
Jennifer Kandut and Melanie Hirner decided to continue under the name "Dreieck" and released the second album Shake Your Hips on August 31, 2012 , which, like the first album, was produced by Alexander Kahr. This was followed by appearances at various open airs , including the Danube Island Festival in 2010 and 2011.
In the fall of 2012 the band broke up due to internal differences. Jennifer Kandut then worked on her solo project "JEN".
Awards
Melanie Hirner won the Austrian singing competition "The Voice" in 2008.
