Wiener Str. 22

The Villa Wiener Straße 22 (formerly No. 36) in Dresden was built in 1869 by Bernhard Hempel . It was considered to be the “high quality construction of the Nicolai School ”. The building was destroyed in the air raids on Dresden in 1945.

description

It was a two-story villa with a flat hipped roof . The two storeys rose above a square basement. The smoothly plastered façade was structured with sandstone and showed a corner block . The facade had a front length that was five axes long, of which a central projecting raised by a half- story took up three axes. This risalit was made particularly rich. This shows arched windows on the main floor and a column - pilaster arrangement was placed in front of the upper and mezzanine floors.
