The Dresden Semper-Nicolai-School is an expression of the architectural style of the Neo-Renaissance in Saxony.

The architect and professor at the building atelier of the Academy of Fine Arts in Dresden , Gottfried Semper (1803–1879), who worked in Dresden , was probably the most important representative of the neo-Renaissance in Saxony. After his escape due to his participation in the Dresden May Uprising , the architect Hermann Nicolai (1811–1881) succeeded him as professor and head of the construction studio .

In this role, Nicolai trained numerous architects and builders until his death, who over the decades built various traditional historical buildings in the form of the Semper Nicolai School or the Dresden Nicolai School .

Today, the Semper-Nicolai School can be divided into three construction periods ; The reception and dispatch building of the Radebeul-Kötzschenbroda station, completed in 1896, comes from the "architecture of the third construction period of the so-called Dresden School ".
