James Cottriall (born January 1, 1986 in Stratford-upon-Avon , England ) is a British musician who lives in Austria and, since 2013, mainly in Los Angeles .

life and work

Cottrial released a demo album Chapters of Innocence in 2008 . His live album One Voice. One guitar. Lots of Friends was released in 2009. Also in 2009 James Cottriall won the talent competition The Voice in Shopping City Süd .

In 2010 he released his first single Unbreakable , which made it to number 1 on the Ö3 listener charts and reached number 16 in the Austrian charts . The title also came in 3rd place in the South Tyrolean charts. On August 6th, Cottriall released his second single So Nice , which also made it into the Austrian charts. 2010 Cottriall was the Amadeus Austrian Music Award in the category Song of the Year with Unbreakable nominated. On October 15, 2010 James Cottriall released his first studio album Sincerely Me in Austria. On December 10, 2010, Cottriall released his third single Goodbyes , which went to number 72 in the Austrian charts.

In March 2011 the 6th season of Dancing Stars started , where Cottriall was assigned the Austrian master in Latin dancing , Roswitha Wieland . Your first dance, a rumba, should also be your last dance. The dancing couple took last place and thus left the show after the first broadcast.

In December 2011, Cottriall was nominated by Ö3 as a participant in the Austrian preliminary decision for the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest .

On March 30, 2013 he played a small concert as a preliminary act on Justin Bieber's Believe Tour in the Wiener Stadthalle.

On March 14, 2020, it was a hawk of Puls4 telecast The Masked Singer Austria desmaskiert.
