Simply Flo (former name Flow Rag or FlowRag ) is an Austrian band from Mödling . It consists of Florian Ragendorfer (vocals), Richard Oliver Gillissen (guitar) and Benjamin Zumpfe (piano).

history

Each of the three musicians was initially the front man of their own rock band, Gillissen and Ragendorfer also played together in the punk rock band Red Ties . Flowrag was originally created in 2013 as a YouTube channel and was founded jointly by singer Florian Ragendorfer and guitarist Richard Gillissen, later pianist Benjamin Zumpfe was added. The cover version of 7 Years by Lukas Graham received over 780,000 views. The band name is derived from the name of singer Florian Ragendorfer.

Ragendorfer took part in the ORF show The great opportunity in 2013 , where he reached the semifinals. In 2014, the band took on the RTL - talent show Rising Star in part and came into the final. In 2015 they stood on the Ö3 stage at the Danube Island Festival and came second at the Rock the Island Contest .

Her song Helden was played on Hitradio Ö3 from April 2016 and made it into the Austrian charts. Texts and music are written by the group itself, guitarist Richard Gillissen is primarily responsible for the music. The group describes their music as "acoustic pop with Mozart influences". In November 2016, they released the second single, Then comes the music . In July 2017 they could be seen on ORF and MDR at Starnacht am Wörthersee . In August 2017, the single was released day in, day out .
