description

Mahashta Murasi was born in Bangalore on January 6, 1835 , during the unofficial rule of the British East India Company . He moved to Varanasi in 1903 , learned a shoemaker and worked in this profession. In 1957, at the age of 122, he retired . He last visited a doctor in 1971 and survived his great-great-great-grandchildren. He believes that "death would have forgotten him" and "has had no hope for a long time that he will be allowed to die at some point." He believes that he is "immortal". His trick would be to “leave everything to chance”. His children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren have been dead for years, the old-age great-great-grandchildren and his great-great-great-grandchildren are about to retire and he has survived seven generations.
