Konrad Juszczyszyn (born November 28, 1993 ) is a Polish pool player .

Career

Konrad Juszczyszyn started playing billiards in 2000 . In December 2012 he won his first medal at the Polish men's championship with third place in the 14/1 endless . In May 2014 he finished ninth in the 9-ball competition of the Deurne City Classic . At the German Open 2015 , he made it into the finals of a Euro Tour tournament for the first time . After victories against Konstantin Stepanow , Albin Ouschan and Karl Boyes , he finally reached the final, in which he was defeated by the Finn Petri Makkonen 3: 9. At the Dutch Open 2015 he reached the round of 16. In December 2015, Juszczyszyn became Polish champion in 9-ball with a 9: 6 victory in the final against Konrad Piekarski .

At the Austrian Open 2016 , he made it into the second round of a Euro Tour tournament for the third time and lost there against the German Sebastian Staab . In August 2016, Juszczyszyn took part in the 9-ball world championship for the first time. After a 3: 9 opening game against Nikos Ekonomopoulos , he defeated the Iraqi Karar Abdulwahed 9: 5. In the decisive third round match he was defeated by the Saudi Arabian Abdul Rahman al-Amar just 8: 9 and was eliminated. A few days later he reached the quarter-finals at the Albanian Open . In October 2016 he won the Gotham City Pro Classic in the final against Cheng Yu-hsuan . In November he reached the round of 64 at the Kuwait Open and the quarterfinals at the Treviso Open , which he lost 7: 9 to eventual tournament winner David Alcaide . At the Polish championship in 2016 , he managed to defend his title in 9-ball with a 9-4 final win over Wojciech Sroczyński .

In February 2017, Juszczyszyn reached the quarter-finals of the Italian Open . A little later he took part in the European Championship for the first time . After he had reached the round of 32 in the 14/1 endless competition, he was eliminated in the 10-ball in the round of the last 64 and in the 8-ball in the preliminary round. In the final 9-ball competition, he reached the semi-finals and was defeated by the later European champion Ruslan Tschinachow with 9:11. At the Portugal Open 2017 , which took place after the European Championship , he was eliminated in the round of 32 against eventual winner Nick van den Berg .

With the Polish national team, he finished third in 2017.
