Scott Higgins (born July 20, 1984 ) is an English pool player .

Career

In 2007 Higgins lost in the final of the World 9-Ball Challenge against Ronato Alcano from the Philippines . In 2008 he finished 65th at the US Open . In 2009, Higgins reached the finals of a Euro Tour tournament for the first time . At the French Open he lost to the later finalist Mario He in the round of 16, in the round of 16 of the Austrian Open he lost 8: 9 to the Dutchman Niels Feijen . At the Netherlands Open , he was eliminated in the sixteenth finals against Mariusz Skoneczny from Poland . At the Portugal Open , on the other hand, he achieved his best Euro Tour result to date with the quarter-finals. However, he lost the quarterfinals 4: 9 against his compatriot Imran Majid , who later lost to Daryl Peach in the final . At the US Open 2009, Higgins reached 17th place. At the 10-ball world championship in 2009 he was eliminated without a win in the preliminary round.
