Francisco Bustamante (born December 29, 1963 ) is a Filipino pool player .
His first big success was winning the World Pool Masters in 1998. A year later he made it to the semi-finals of the 9-Ball World Cup , where he lost to his compatriot and eventual winner Efren Reyes . In 2002 he even made it to the final of the 9-Ball World Championship, but lost to Earl Strickland at 17:15 after winning the World Pool Masters for the second time the year before.
After 2002, he won the ESPN Sudden Death 7-Ball tournament and - together with Efren Reyes as Team Philippines - the World Cup of Pool in 2006 and 2009 . Even in the major tournaments he continued to achieve good placements; Among other things, he reached a place in the semifinals in 2005 at the 8-Ball World Cup and the US Open in 9-Ball .
In 2008 he again missed his first win at a World Cup when he lost to Niels Feijen in the final of the 14 and 1 World Cup . He became world champion for the first time two years later when he won the WPA 9-Ball World Championship in Doha with 13: 7 against Kuo Po-Cheng .
In 1994 and 1995 Bustamante was German individual champion .
He has been a member of the Hall of Fame of the Billiard Congress of America since 2010 .
