The World Cup of Pool 2006 was the first edition of a pool tournament in the 9-ball discipline that has been held annually since 2006 , in which each participating country is represented by a team of two players. It took place from August 22nd to 26th, 2006 at the Newport Center in Newport , Wales . The Philippines team won the final 13: 5 against the US team.

mode

The game was played with an alternating break. This means that it takes turns to kick, regardless of who won the previous rack. In 2006, the game continued until the final, until one team had won nine games ( racks ), and in the final, the number of racks needed to win was increased to thirteen.
