Michal Gavenčiak (born November 17, 1979 ) is a Czech pool player .

Career

In July 2002 Michal Gavenčiak reached the 33rd place at the Holland Open of the IBC Tour, in November he was seventeenth at the IBC Tokyo 9-Ball International. In January 2006, Gavenčiak reached his best result so far on the Euro Tour with the quarter-finals at the Czech Open . In the quarterfinals he lost to Italian Fabio Petroni 4: 9. In September 2010 he came in ninth place at the Gstaad Swiss Open.

Gavenčiak has played in Fortuna Straubing's second team since 2013 . In 2014 he was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga with this .

At the World Cup of Pool , Gavenčiak twice formed the Czech team with Roman Hybler . After losing to eventual winners Efren Reyes and Francisco Bustamante in the quarter-finals in 2006 , they were eliminated in the first round in 2014 . With the Czech national team, Gavenčiak was eliminated in the preliminary round of the 2010 Team World Cup .
