Tommy Donlon (born September 4, 1968 ) is an Irish pool player .

Career

In September 1995 Tommy Donlon reached the round of 16 at the European Pool Masters. After he had reached the round of the last 16 of the tournament, now played as the World Pool Masters , in 1996 , he made it into the finals in 1997, in which he had to admit defeat to Earl Strickland . In 1999 he reached the quarterfinals of the World Pool Masters. At the 9-ball world championship in 2001 he made it to the round of 64, in which he lost 5-9 to Canadian Alain Martel . After he was eliminated in the preliminary round as fifth in his group in 2002 , he was defeated by the Canadian Luc Salvas in the round of 64 in 2003 only 8: 9. At the 9-Ball World Cup in 2004 , he was eliminated in the preliminary round as sixth in his group. In 2013 and 2015 he finished third in one tournament on the Great Britain 9-Ball Tour .

At the 1997 Mosconi Cup , Donlon was part of the European team that lost 8:13 against the USA team. He himself won two of his five games.

At the World Cup of Pool 2006 he and Paddy McLoughlin formed the Irish team, which was eliminated in the first round against the Finns Mika Immonen and Markus Juva .
